Robe of Righteousness

Before my sister went home to be with the Lord her body was often hindering her from doing what she wanted to do.  When she looked at herself in the mirror, even with all her beauty, she saw many flaws in her appearance.  This would sometimes bring sadness to her face because she could not do anything to change what she could see.  There was a picture of her that was taken at a time in her life when she was able to do all the things she enjoyed.  She often felt that because she could no longer do those things anymore that her beauty also diminished.

She was one of those people that looked good in whatever she wore, wherever she was, and whatever the situation.  She had an heir about her that made everyone feel comfortable around her.  She continuously heard thanks and appreciation for her ministry, testimony, and talents.  You see her beauty was not just her outward appearance it was also her personality and her soul.

What about now…the Bible tells us in Isaiah 61:10a “I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness”.

Being a visual person I tried to picture my sister with Jesus. What I was looking for was that garment of salvation, that robe of righteousness. What I could see because of her salvation through Christ, was that radiant smile on her face, her joyful and healed.
